The Wines

Kangaroo Island was declared a wine region in 2001. There are currently 28 vineyards with 146 ha of red and 24 ha of white wine grapes under production. Our region enjoys a temperate climate of cool wet winters and warm dry summers. The rainfall is between 400-750mm per year depending on location, soils also vary from ironstone to limestone.

Winemaker Colin Hopkins sources only the best quality fruit grown on Kangaroo Island, to produce a select range of quality wines.

Part of our production policy is that all the fruit for the wine is sourced from Kangaroo Island vineyards
